SIGHT-SEEING FROM WINDSOR
'The Carriage House' in Windsor is a
good location for travelling around the area.
London
is within easy reach both by car and train and London's Heathrow
airport is only three exits away on the M4. Gatwick
can be reached in approximately one hour by car following the M25 and
M23 motorways.
Windsor itself has many attractions to offer. The
Castle, (Book

Queen, is a must on any tourist itinerary but there is also
the Windsor
Great Park, with miles of wonderful scenery and beautifully
designed planted areas. For keen gardeners the Savill
Garden, including the Queen
Mother's extensive collection of azaleas, is well worth a visit.
There is a charming old theatre
offering a varied programme of entertainment. The river
Thames flows through Windsor and there are boat
trips of various lengths available throughout most of the year.
The famous
Eton College just across the river is open
to the public with guided tours available. Windsor
and Ascot
horse racing courses have regular meetings through the year.
