Proprietors: Diana Airey & Rosemary Arber


Diana Airey and Rosemary Arber have been partners in the bed and breakfast business for more than 20 years; owning a larger premises in Windsor before relocating to The Carriage House. They are very active in local community theatre both having been members for many years. Diana both acts and directs for the Windsor Theatre Guild and Datchet Players and has also been involved with the Windsor Festival Fringe for the past few years. She has appeared in roles as diverse as Nerissa, in the W.T.G. open air production of Shakespeare's 'The Merchant of Venice' in The Chapter Garden of Windsor Castle, to Maxine in 'Stepping Out' and Mrs Lovatt in 'Sweeney Todd'. Both Diana and Rosemary appeared as extras in the acclaimed West end production of Terry Johnson's 'Hysteria'. Both Diana and Rosemary have granddaughters who are also performers! Once a month Diana joins a group of readers for 'Talking Newspapers' in Old Windsor. Rosemary has generally been happier as back stage support for W.T.G. and Datchet Players although for the past few years she has produced annual shows at Windsor's Theatre Royal which have raised several thousand pounds for local charities. She is also a keen distance runner and founded the Chilterns Area Running Sisters group which for the past 20 years has run courses for women 'beginners' regularly attracting 200+ to the sport. Now a very senior runner she still participates in local events such as the Windsor Half Marathon and Running4Women women's 8Km and will be happy to provide you with information about attractive running routes in Windsor Great Park.
